Creates the spark that ignites fuel in the engine at the right moment every time.

Technical

ECU-triggered ignition coil steps battery voltage to high tension delivered via plug cap to the spark plug in the combustion chamber. Integrated with engine management sensors.

Function & location

Provide timed high-voltage spark for combustion initiation.

Coil mounted near cylinder head; spark plug accessed on the cylinder head top/front area.
